Our Story

Owen Roberts was an aimless soul with an active imagination that had an uncanny ability to scare away any fair maiden that he tried to court with his feeble attempts of trying to act like a man of his age, all the while exhausting his prospects with his uncoordinated displays of humor and obvious infatuation with the Oxford comma, and a thesaurus. That's until he met the ravishingly beautiful and delightfully charming Heather McCallister. Although he still displayed the previously aforementioned traits, she accepted his stumbled musings, and overbearing use of men's hair product and other cosmetic sundries that aren't normally reserved for a male raised in the southeastern United States. Even though the two are very different in a multitude of ways, they found a common ground to fellowship over and discuss, and that is the culinary world. Well, that and ladies' fashion accessories. But that's not what this forum is about.  From non-descript brew pubs that have become annoyingly ubiquitous, to fine dining establishments which require reservations sometimes a week in advance of the planned evening, they found themselves critiquing their recent dining experiences with such a fervent passion, it probably made the subject restauranteur's ears burn with hot sonic fire. From the constant requests for a proper amount of salad dressing to the lack of enforcement of clearly stated dress codes, no establishment was safe from their critical analysis. So, to satisfy their desires to save a world that thinks it's okay to wear a Big Johnson t-shirt, acid wash jeans, and Birkenstocks to an upscale Italian restaurant that does not contain the phrase "unlimited breadsticks" in the menu, the two decided to enter cyberspace and share their critical reviews of establishments that do not meet the standards of what a proper dining experience should be, and to give praise and commendation to the operations that meet the expectations of a 5-star rating.
